The English language test for healthcare professionals in the UK.
The OET (Occupational English Test) is an exam to assess the language skills of healthcare professionals, which enables them to register and practice in an English speaking environment. OET is recognised by regulatory healthcare bodies in the UK, The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the General Medical Council (GMC) as well as in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UAE and Namibia.
Before you start your OET exam preparation classes, your level of English will be assessed. You must have the required level to join the course.
Course Overview
In addition to the 20 hours of tuition the course also includes 5 hours of guided self-study, where your tutor will advise you on the most beneficial way for you as an individual to improve, and recommend materials.
- 4 hours per day Monday-Friday from 9.00am – 2.45pm

Course Description
Our one-week intensive OET Ready exam preparation courses for Nursing and/or Medicine help you to develop to maximise your score as you work towards achieving the required grade B or higher.

Our self-study area allows access to additional practise exercises, tests and language resources.
Course Objectives
Our OET Ready for Nursing and Medicine exam preparation course, focuses on the requirements of the OET for Nursing or Medicine exam:
- It provides familiarisation through specialised, strategic input and practice for each of the sub-tests that make up the OET exam: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening
- Develops your exam skills and techniques
- Develops your study skills
