Capital School of English turns 18!
On November 24th Capital School of English celebrated its 18th birthday!! We had a little celebration with students, staff, and homestays.
Capital School of English has come a long way since the school opened its doors in 2003. Capital School of English started with 2 students, Ana from Spain and Luis from Mexico.
Over the years the school has grown, developed, and matured. Capital School of English has been on a journey. Below are a few of the school’s highlights:
2005 – We became a Cambridge exam preparation centre.
2007 – We opened our first Summer Centre at the local university.
2010 – We grew even more and expanded the building again to become the school on the corner that we are now.
2012 – We opened our dedicated Young Learner Summer Centre.
2013 – We started teaching online with students from Russia and Colombia.
2017 – We were a finalist at the Bournemouth Tourism awards.
2019 – We became an OET exam preparation centre. We were a finalist at the ELTON awards with our innovative programme, Future Success.
2020 – We developed our online courses and teacher development courses.
A massive congratulations to the school’s co-founders, Spencer and Paulina. Because of their vision over 18 years ago, Capital School of English is here helping and supporting students on their language learning journey.
Here’s to many more years to come.
